Wow! Our school year is going to be over before we know it!
I hope you and your families enjoyed the Easter break.
In April, we enjoy celebrating the springtime with some fun literature days. We will also be starting our word boxes. Each child will have a box of cards with words they can read, or words they are learning to read. They will have time to practice their words in class. At the end of the year, children can take their word boxes home and practice throughout the summer months. It will be a great head start for Kindergarten.
Remember, Monday, April 5th will be our last make up snow day. We will be having class at the regular time on this day.
On Wednesday, April 7th, we will have a "Wacky Wednesday." Let your children dress silly, such as different colored socks, mismatched clothes, funny hairdos; the possibilities are endless!
During the week of April 12th — 16th, we will be studying our Earth Day unit. The children will make and bring a special book home at the end of the week.
Shhhh... At the end of the month, children will be working on very special projects to get ready for our annual Mother's Tea during the first week in May. It is a special time for just Mom and her Pre-K student to celebrate Mother's Day together.
As always, if you ever have a question or concern, you may call the preschool (301.972.5428) or email me at melaniemail@yahoo.com.
